According to several published reports, Purdue football is set to add veteran defensive coach Andy Buh to its coaching staff.

FootballScoop.com broke the news, as Buh is expected to serve as a defensive analyst. Most recently, Buh served as linebackers coach at Illinois the past three seasons and worked with current Purdue head coach Ryan Walters in 2021 and 2022, when Walters was the Illinois defensive coordinator.

Buh has worked at California, Arizona, Wisconsin, Rutgers, San Diego State, Fresno State, Maryland, Stanford, Nevada and Kentucky.

The addition of Buh comes on the heels of several changes within the Purdue football staff.

Earlier this month, Walters promoted senior special teams analyst Chris Petrilli to special teams coordinator.
Petrilli came to Purdue from North Texas, where he served as special teams coordinator. He has also coached at Drake, Boise State, and Charleston Southern.

In addition, offensive analyst Justin Sinz was promoted to senior offensive analyst/tight ends coach.
Sinz played at Purdue and has been a member of the coaching staff for eight years.
