Purdue ranks high on in-state OL Cameron Gorin’s list after offer

Growing up, Hamilton Southeastern (IN) offensive lineman Cameron Gorin was quite familiar with Purdue.
After all, both his parents graduated from the West Lafayette school, giving him plenty of opportunities to see the Boilermakers up close and personal.

The 2025 three star prospect could get more chances to see Purdue up close and personal following an offer extended by the Boilermakers.

“It feels really good to get the offer. It was kind of sudden, but it definitely excited me. Since my parents both graduated, I have been around Purdue basically my whole life whether it was sports or just being on campus,” Gorin told Boiler Wire.

Gorin, a 6-foot-5-inch, 260-pound three star prospect, said Purdue’s defensive intensity is something that stands out. As for what coaches liked about his game, he said his movement stands out.

“They said they like how well I can move and my explosiveness,” Gorin said.

A season ago, Gorin helped guide the Royals to a sectional title and a 9-3 record, as Hamilton Southeastern fell 24-21 to Westfield in the regional. That loss, combined with recent offers by Boston College, Toledo and Minnesota, have provided plenty of motivation this offseason.

“My offseason has consisted of training and trying to put my body in the best shape to succeed next year. Getting stronger, more agile and faster are on my bucket list. My goals are to win a state championship as a team, and, personally, I want to dominate people at the line, and, hopefully, get Top 50 All-State,” Gorin said.
