Purdue Baseball: Fan Fest set for Sunday

Published

on

Fans of the Purdue baseball team will have their first chance to get up close and personal with the Boilermakers Sunday, Feb. 11, at the Preseason Fan Fest.

The festivities will begin at 3 p.m. inside the Mollenkopf Athletic Center and will last until 5 p.m. This will mark the sixth season Purdue baseball is hosting the event. It will feature skill stations, inflatables, games, photo and autograph opportunities and a chance to spend time with Purdue baseball players and coaches, as well as Purdue Pete.

The skill stations include batting cages, bullpen mounds and an opportunity to throw a baseball with members of the team.

A season ago, Purdue baseball went 24-29 overall, and 11-13 in the Big Ten Conference. This year’s campaign opens Feb. 16 in Houston when the Boilermakers open against Stony Brook. The Boilermakers return home March 8 for an 8 p.m. opening pitch at Alexander Field.
