Purdue football schedule finalized for 2024

The Purdue football team has finalized its 2024 football schedule, as second year head coach Ryan Walters and the Boilermakers are ready for the challenge.

Purdue football will look to improve on last year’s 4-8 overall, 3-6 Big Ten record. Purdue ended 2023 winning two of its last three games, including a 35-31 victory over Indiana for the Old Oaken Bucket.

The biggest change to the upcoming schedule centers around Purdue’s game against Indiana State. Previously, the Boilermakers were scheduled to play the Sycamores on Sept. 7 after having a bye in the opening week. Purdue announced Monday the game has been moved up a week, giving Purdue an opportunity to avoid a season opening bye week.

After hosting Indiana State, Purdue will have its bye week before taking on Notre Dame and finishing the non-conference portion of the season at Oregon State. The Boilermakers will open a nine game Big Ten slate at home against Nebraska on Sept. 28.
