As he he prepares for his upcoming senior football season, Brebeuf Jesuit (IN) quarterback Maverick Geske is looking to not only bolster his relationship with Purdue football, but also pick up an offer from the Boilermakers.
“It’s been great. I have a great connection with one of their student coaches who graduated from Brebeuf, which definitely helped out in the beginning. After my game day visit against Indiana, I made some good connections with the other coaches,” Geske told Boiler Wire.
He said Purdue football is definitely on his radar and feels like he is on theirs as well.
In addition, he admits he is excited about the team second-year head coach Ryan Walters is building.
“I think because Coach Walters and his staff are so young, it allows them to connect with their players more and it definitely showed with the energy and excitement I saw from players that I have talked to in the program,” Geske said.
The signal caller says he welcomes all offers, but admits one from Purdue would be special.
“An offer from any school would definitely mean a lot knowing that the staff wants me to be a part of the program. I can’t say I grew up a huge Purdue fan, but after seeing what they are doing with the program, I would definitely love to be a part of it,” Geske said.

Geske seeks state title after monster junior season

As a junior, Geske was 209-of-336 for 3,084 yards, 42 touchdowns, a 120 QBR and set school records for yards, touchdowns and completion percentage for the Braves.
With his senior season on the horizon, Geske wants to take the Braves back to Lucas Oil Stadium for a state championship appearance.
“Obviously, a state championship is a goal for every season, so to win Brebeuf’s first football state championship, win our conference and there are a few records I haven’t broken yet. I would like to break every record in our school’s history,” Geske said.
