The news was great for Purdue football coach Ryan Walters this week, as prized cornerback Tarrion Grant took to social media with a huge announcement.
Grant, who was, initially, in the Class of 2025, announced he will be enrolling early with Purdue football. Grant was ranked as the 37th top player in the Class of 2025 nationally and was the second best player in Tennessee.
The four star cornerback had used up all his high school eligibility and reclassified to the class of ’24. Grant opted for Purdue football over the likes of Florida State, South Carolina, Alabama and Indiana. Grant will join transfers Nyland Green and Kydrich Breedlove. Furthermore, the secondary room is a crowded one with the likes of Markevious Brown, Salim Turner-Muhammad, Bostros Alisandro and Derrick Rogers already in place. In addition, Purdue football is set to welcome Koy Beasley and Earl Kulp, both of whom are incoming freshmen.
Purdue opens the 2024 season at home Aug. 31 against Indiana State.
