Fresh off a junior season that saw him reel in 69 receptions for 1,055 yards and six touchdowns and account for 1,496 all purpose yards, Fishers High School (IN) wide receiver JonAnthony Hall has seen his recruiting blow up lately. Hall recently visited Purdue football for a Junior Day visit and walked away with an offer from the Boilermakers, to go along with recent offers from Big Ten foes Michigan State and Illinois.
“It felt great to be offered. I feel like my relationship with the staff was already strong before, but now it is only growing. The visit was awesome, they treated us great, and we watched the basketball game as well,” Hall told Boiler Wire.
Being on the Purdue campus wasn’t new for Hall, who admits he had seen quite a bit before.
“I was just able to sit and talk with the staff for some time and then they took us out to eat before the game. The whole thing was pretty awesome,” Hall said.
Hall motivated for big senior season
Hall said one thing the Purdue football staff told him was how much they love the improvement in skill from his sophomore season to his junior year.
“They like how fast I get in and out of my breaks and my speed. I think Coach Walters does a great job listening to his players. If something is brought up to him, he does his best to help the situation,” Hall said.
With his recruitment blowing up recently, Hall said it only makes him want to work harder to ensure a smooth transition to the college game.
“My motivation coming into this season is only growing,” said Hall, who admits he is antsy for the season.
