As he prepares for the upcoming 2024 season opener against Indiana State, Purdue football quarterback Hudson Card is already wowing those around the nation.

The second year signal caller has found his name on the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Watch List. The award is presented to the top senior or upperclassman quarterback that will graduate with their class. The Purdue football quarterback was one of 63 named to the list.

Card enters the 2024 campaign fresh off a banner season last year under Purdue football coach Ryan Walters. Card threw for 217 yards per Big Ten game last year. He finished the season with 2,387 yards, 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Furthermore, Card picked up 203 yards and five touchdowns on the ground.

While Purdue football finished 4-8, Card played through several injuries during the season. They became so severe he was forced out of the lineup against Northwestern. However, down the stretch, Card showed signs of greatness, as he lifted Purdue football past Minnesota and Indiana.

Card was near flawless against Minnesota, throwing for 251 yards and three touchdowns, while adding 44 yards and a trip to the end zone on the ground. Purdue football beat Minnesota, 49-30.

In the Old Oaken Bucket Game, Card threw for another 275 yards and three touchdowns, and added 85 yards and a touchdown on the ground en route to a 35-31 win.
