With the calendar inching closer to the start of college football season, the Purdue football team learned the start times for two more games.

Purdue football will open the season Aug. 31 at Ross-Ade Stadium against Indiana State for a 12 p.m. kickoff on the Big Ten Network. In addition, the Boilermakers will square off at noon on Sept. 28 against Big Ten foe Nebraska in a homecoming meeting. There has not been a television station designated for the game yet.

The Boilermakers now have kickoff times for half of its 12 games after this week’s announcement.

Purdue football will play Notre Dame at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 14. Then, the Boilermakers are guaranteed at least three night games. Purdue travels to Oregon State for an 8:30 p.m. ET kickoff. Purdue football will also take on Big Ten Conference newcomer Oregon at 8 p.m. on Oct. 18 at home and will travel to Michigan State on Nov. 22 for an 8 p.m. game. Both the Oregon and Michigan State games will air on Fox.

The Boilermakers will look to improve on last year’s 4-8 campaign under head coach Ryan Walters. Despite the losses, Purdue football showed signs of success down the stretch, winning two of its final three games of the season last year.
