Purdue Football: Boilers add standout tight end

Published

on

The Purdue football tight end room will be growing in 2025.

The Boilermakers added a commitment from three star tight end Brian Kortovic, from Ohio. The commitment comes on the heels of an official visit to Purdue football over the weekend for the Class of ’25 prospect.

Purdue offered Kortovic last month, and the tight end opted for the Boilermakers over the likes of fellow Big Ten rivals Illinois, Northwestern and Indiana.

Kortovic played wide receiver at Villa Angela St. Joseph. At 6-foot-5-inches, Kortovic brings speed and size to the tight ends room and has the opportunity to also line up as a receiver and help stretch the field for Purdue football.

He joins a tight end room that features Tayvion Galloway, George Burhenn and Max Klare. In addition, Kortovich joins fellow Class of ’25 commit Sawyer Anderson, who is a quarterback. Purdue also has commitments from running backs Ziaire Stevens and in-state talent Jaron Thomas.

Purdue football opens the 2024 season on Aug. 31 at Ross Ade Stadium against Indiana State.
